INTRODUCTION

These terms and conditions govern your use of this website; by using this website, you accept these terms and conditions in full and without reservation. If you disagree with these terms and conditions or any part of these terms and conditions, you must not use this website.

Working with Lighthouse Home Services is an exciting and rewarding experience. The following Terms of Service provide the basis for our working relationship. PAYMENT FOR SERVICES

These terms and conditions are for services only. These services are billed on a per project, hourly and/or commission basis and do not include the cost of supplies or products that may be used to complete the project (e.g., closet shelving, file folders, containers, lumber, furniture, paint, materials). If it is agreed that LIGHTHOUSE HOME SERVICES will obtain necessary supplies, such supplies or products may be, (with Client’s consent), ordered by LIGHTHOUSE HOME SERVICES via the Internet and delivered directly to Client’s location, or purchased by LIGHTHOUSE HOME SERVICES and brought to the session for project completion. LIGHTHOUSE HOME SERVICES assumes no liability due to the quality of items or services purchased for the Client. Costs for all supplies purchased (with Client’s consent) by LIGHTHOUSE HOME SERVICES, will be billed to you for immediate payment.

Client may pay for purchases directly by providing a credit card, or will be responsible for reimbursing LIGHTHOUSE HOME SERVICES upon presentation of purchase receipt. If Client provides a credit card, LIGHTHOUSE HOME SERVICES agrees to use Client’s credit card information only to purchase pre-approved supplies and products on behalf of Client. LIGHTHOUSE HOME SERVICES agrees to maintain the confidentiality of Client’s credit card information and to destroy such information after completion of the purchase or order, unless Client elects to permit LIGHTHOUSE HOME SERVICES to keep Client’s credit card information on file for future purchases and orders.

Full payment is expected no later than at the time services are completed.

INTERIOR DESIGN + RENOVATION

Interior Design + Renovation Conceptual images are designed to be used as a guide only. Images are provided as a styling suggestion based on your collaboration with LIGHTHOUSE HOME SERVICES. Client understands that actual styling results may vary from the renderings presented. Client also understands and agrees that ALL floor plan + Room layout sizes and dimensions are approximate. Actual sizes may vary upon completion.

CLIENT COOPERATION

Client will make best efforts to minimize disruptions during sessions and will alert LIGHTHOUSE HOME SERVICES of any medical or health concerns LIGHTHOUSE HOME SERVICES may be exposed to during on-site work. Client will remove and secure any firearms from work areas before work begins, and make all efforts to secure safety of work areas with regard to pest infestations and other health and safety issues.

TRAVEL POLICY/ MILEAGE FEE

LIGHTHOUSE HOME SERVICES works within a 50-mile radius from zip code 22180 at no additional charge. An additional fee of $50 will be added to your invoice for travel outside of the 50-mile radius for each home visit. Clients requesting travel outside the state of Virginia or Maryland may contact us directly for special rates.

PAYMENT TERMS

A credit card is required to schedule ALL services. Cancellations made 48 hours or more in advance of the service will receive a full refund. Cancellations made 48 hours or less of the service are non-refundable and will be charged the $50 cancellation fee.

A 50% deposit is required to schedule an Interior Design + Renovation service. All deposits are applied to your initial service. Service deposits are due prior to your initial service in order to hold an appointment slot. Payment may be made by credit card directly (3% service fee) on our secure site or VIA electronic means (ZELLE, PayPal, ApplePay). Client is fully responsible for any bank charges incurred from using LIGHTHOUSE HOME SERVICES services due to insufficient funds. Full payment is expected no later than at the time services are completed. A late charge of 10% per unpaid balance shall be accrued for payments more than 30 days overdue.

SUBSCRIPTION TERMS

By clicking subscribe, you agree that: your subscription will be set to continuous auto-renewal payments of the agreed upon amount during checkout every month with your next payment due on the following month. Example: If you place your order on January 14, 2022, your next payment will auto-renew on February 14, 2022. You authorize us to take this amount from your card every month. You can cancel your subscription at any time on your account.

PURCHASES

A credit card is required to complete ALL purchases. Full payment is required prior to scheduling a service or shipping any items purchased on this website. Your credit card will be charged the agreed amount less any discounts, sales or promotions during the checkout process. An invoice of purchase will be emailed to you upon processing your order. If you do not receive you invoice, please email us at info@lighthousehomeservices.co for an additional copy.

SERVICE ACCEPTANCE

LIGHTHOUSE HOME SERVICES may, in its sole discretion, refuse or cancel any order or service. LIGHTHOUSE HOME SERVICES may also require additional qualifying information prior to accepting or processing any order or confirming your service. Once we receive your order or scheduled service request, we’ll provide you with an email confirmation. Your email of an order or service confirmation, however, does not signify LIGHTHOUSE HOME SERVICES‘s acceptance of your order, nor does it constitute confirmation of our offer to sell or provide service; we are simply confirming that we received your order or request for LIGHTHOUSE HOME SERVICES to provide a service.

LIGHTHOUSE HOME SERVICES reserves the right at any time after receiving your order or service request to accept or decline your order or service request for any reason. If LIGHTHOUSE HOME SERVICES cancels an order or service after you have already been billed, LIGHTHOUSE HOME SERVICES will refund the billed amount.

PRICING

All prices posted on this Site are subject to change without notice. The price charged for a Product or use of a Service will be the price in effect at the time the order is placed and will be set out in your order confirmation e-mail. Price increases will only apply to orders placed after such changes. Posted prices do not include taxes or charges for shipping and handling. All such taxes and additional charges will be added to your merchandise purchase total and will be itemized in your shopping bag and in your order confirmation e-mail. We are not responsible for pricing, typographical or other errors in any listing and we reserve the right to cancel any orders arising from such errors. Terms of payment are within our sole discretion and, unless otherwise agreed by us in writing, payment must be received by us before our acceptance of an order. Payment may be made by credit card for all purchases. You represent and warrant that (i) the credit card information you supply to us is true, correct and complete, (ii) you are duly authorized to use such credit card for the purchase, (iii) charges incurred by you will be honored by your credit card company, and (iv) you will pay charges incurred by you at the posted prices, including all applicable taxes, if any.

TERMINATION OF AGREEMENT

Agreements made by LIGHTHOUSE HOME SERVICES shall be effective on the date Client accepts terms and agreements prior to scheduling services and shall continue until terminated by the parties. If the Client terminates this agreement for any reason before the scheduled completion date, the Client will reimburse LIGHTHOUSE HOME SERVICES for all outstanding payments and out-of-pocket expenses.

GOOD FAITH ESTIMATE

Good faith estimate of the length of time necessary to complete the project often requested and is complementary. LIGHTHOUSE HOME SERVICES will make every effort to complete the service within the estimated time period. However, the actual time needed may vary depending on the circumstances, including the Client’s ability to quickly make decisions and/or purchases and fully participate in the process. Client is responsible for payment of services exceeding the estimate. Good faith estimate is provided during your Complimentary Consultation.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellation of a scheduled service must be done at least 48 hours in advance (except in the event of an emergency). LIGHTHOUSE HOME SERVICES will then reschedule the session for a mutually convenient date and time. Cancellations made 48 hours or less of the service, session or consultation are non-refundable and will be charged the $50 cancellation fee. LIGHTHOUSE HOME SERVICES will text or email at least 24 hours prior to scheduled session to confirm appointments.

In home appointments: A member of the LIGHTHOUSE HOME SERVICES team shall wait at the client's home or office for 15 minutes past the time of the appointment. After 15 minutes, the client shall be considered a no show, and charged for the full session.

LIABILITY WAIVER

LIGHTHOUSE HOME SERVICES has done thorough research while selecting the following furniture and/or materials from various online merchants. Client is responsible for each purchase made from merchants and it is our policy to have every client sign a Liability Waiver at each service appointment. Client is to acknowledge that they understand they are using a home service. Client will hereby waive any and all monetary claims for damage or injury to themselves or members of their family, furniture, clothing, shoes & accessories and any other elements related to the LIGHTHOUSE HOME SERVICES services provided, whether owned, rented, borrowed by Client or member of Clients family, relatives or friends and assume all legal financial responsibility themselves for such. Client shall not now nor in the future make any claim against LIGHTHOUSE HOME SERVICES services or any of their family, partners, or helpers for any injury to persons within Client home or damage or destruction of possessions or property belonging to Client or others in and on Client property beyond the value of services performed and agreed in advance.

ATTORNEY FEES

In the event of litigation relating to the subject matter of this Agreement, the non-prevailing party shall reimburse the prevailing party for all reasonable attorney fees and costs resulting therefrom.

CONFIDENTIALITY

LIGHTHOUSE HOME SERVICES values the trust of its clients and, agrees to maintain the confidentiality of all information about the client learned through the performance of services. Therefore, LIGHTHOUSE HOME SERVICES agrees only to release information with the consent of its clients, except as federal, state, or local law, rule, or regulation requires disclosure or release of such files or information, or if such files or information are lawfully subpoenaed. LIGHTHOUSE HOME SERVICES will also not divulge that Client is in fact a client, as a courtesy for Client’s privacy, unless Client gives permission. Client may, however, feel free to tell others that they are working with LIGHTHOUSE HOME SERVICES. Any clients listed on LIGHTHOUSE HOME SERVICES website or social media platforms have granted permission to list them as a client or have submitted a testimonial for LIGHTHOUSE HOME SERVICES to use in the marketing of its business and services.

PHOTO RELEASE

Client agrees to allow LIGHTHOUSE HOME SERVICES full use of images taken of their home/space for promotional purposes only. Client agrees to allow all images to be used across its website, www.lighthousehomeservices.co and social media platforms (Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook, ETC). Clients personal information such as name, full address and phone number will not be revealed. In certain cases clients street name maybe used for labeling purposes only. No other identifiable personal information will be used in property photos.

GOVERNING STATE LAW AND USE OF ALTERNATIVE DISPUTE RESOLUTION

The laws of the State of Virginia shall govern any agreement between parties. Parties agree that if a dispute should arise, they will make best efforts to settle the matter amicably without resort to legal action. If the parties do not reach settlement, they will submit the matter to a mediator or arbitrator for alternative dispute resolution.
